Amenities
Inside the Village
Residents at the Village at Waterside enjoy a pool
designed to accommodate lap swimming and allow parents to be
comfortable with their children to play in the somewhat shallow
waters. The pool area is carefully landscaped to complement the
community's natural beauty throughout the season.
The pool area is connected to a woodsy pavilion
with rough-hewn beams, a stone fireplace and tables. It, in turn,
is connected to a flat open field where children can play, residents
can plan a celebration or neighbors can gather for a game of
ball. The pavilion
is the gathering place for Village social events throughout the
year, including monthly "Village Cheers" socials from
April through October.
Hiking Trails
The Village provides community access to Vineyard
Mountain Lake Side Trail, a 2.8 mile nature path that runs along
the shores of Lake Allatoona on U.S. Corps of engineer property.
Residents take in the wildlife of deer, wild turkeys, and watch
hawks swoop over incredible views above Allatoona Dam as they
make their way to Riverside
Day use area to the mouth of the Etowah river. Click here for
a map of hiking trails and amenities through the lake side trail.
The village at waterside, located in south Bartow
County near the Cobb County line is adjacent to Red Top Mountain
State Park and the U.S. Corps of Engineer's property surrounding
Lake Allatoona. Village residents ensure that beautiful lake
and mountain views purchased today will be preserved for generations
to come.
Lake Allatoona
The park, more than 1,500 acres, sits on 12,000-acre
Lake Allatoona. The combination provides ample opportunities
for swimming, boating, water skiing, fishing and hiking. History
buffs will enjoy a reconstructed 1860s homestead in an area once
important for mining iron. In fact, the mountain's name comes
from the soil's rich red color, which is caused by the high iron-ore
content.
For those with boats, park
marina provides a super-convenient way to store
their assets, with the marina only a couple miles from the
community, or residents may store their watercrafts and put
in at two of the nearby public ramps. Fishing is prevalent
on the lake as private boats of all size are permitted and
there is no horse power limit.
Group picnic pavilions and camping are also available
in the state park. 12.5 miles of wooded trails, 3/4-mile paved
accessible trails, and a separate 4 mile Iron Hill Trail for
biking provide for an excellent way to take in the tranquil nature
that surrounds the community. Click here for

Red Top Mountain State Park
Living less than a mile to the state park has so
many advantages it is difficult to list them all. Visitors can
partake in a game of tennis at the two courts inside the park,
a game of miniature golf, hike the endless miles of trails or
spend the day swimming with the family on the public beach areas.
In the evening hours you might find yourself enjoying a summer
blue grass concert in front of the park's histoirc 1800's log
cabin and call it a night under the stars at one of the many
lake side campsites in the park.
The truth of the matter is, for folks who come
home to the village at waterside, there are as many reasons to
get out and enjoy the nearby activities as there are to relax
in luxury. It's a lifestyle you have to dream to believe.
